Cissy Houston, the grandmother of Bobbi Kristina and mother of the late Whitney Houston, says that 22-year old Bobbi is not doing well and that her comatose condition is irreversible.

She said in a recent statement, “I have just returned from visiting my granddaughter Bobbi Kristina in the hospital and while she is no longer in a medically induced coma, she has a tracheotomy and according to the doctors she has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive.”

“Meeting with the doctors and understanding that she can live in this condition for a lifetime truly saddens me. We can only trust in God for a miracle at this time. Keep us in your prayers,” she added.

But Bobby Brown said…

These statements are contrary, however, to what other family members are saying when they insist that she is recovering and getting well.

For example, Bobbi’s father, singer Bobby Brown, recently told an audience at one of his concerts that his daughter was “awake” and “watching me.” Then her aunt, Tina Brown, posted on Facebook that Bobbi “woke up and is no longer on life support… she is going to be OK.”

And more confusion

Another statement released by the family’s lawyers said there had been “improvement” and that doctors said Bobbi Kristina would live a “long life,” but the “quality of her life would not be known for years to come.”

Bobbi Kristina was found face down and unresponsive in a bathtub in her home in Atlanta back in January, about three years after her mother died in a similar way. She spent weeks in an Atlanta hospital in a medically induced coma, but has since been moved to an unnamed rehab facility.
