A spectacular day of dance, music, storytelling and puppetry celebrating the best of Indian culture is on offer in Blakenhall next month. Tiranga draws upon the rich Indian heritage and culture in the UK, and will include performances from Jai Jashn Dance, Vidya Patel, Desi Nach, Jaivant Patel Dance, Bollywood Dance Dreams, Daijal Patel, Nachda Sansaar, Odissi Movement Company, Enter Edem's Ramayana, Rishii Chowdhury's Yo-Tabla, Adaa and Aaja Nachle Let's Dance and storyteller Peter Chand.

Tiranga takes place from 11am-5pm on Sunday 11 September, 2016 at the Bob Jones Community Hub, formerly Blakenhall Community and Healthy Living Centre, Bromley Street, Blakenhall, Wolverhampton. Entry is free.

Councillor John Reynolds, the City of Wolverhampton Council's Cabinet Member for City Economy, said: "After a successful first event two years ago, we are delighted to be welcoming back Tiranga to showcase once again the artistic traditions and regional styles of the Indian subcontinent.

"It promises to be a fantastic day out for all the family, and one that shouldn't be missed."

Following Tiranga, Jaivant Patel Dance will present Diwali Utsav at the Arena Theatre on Sunday 12 November, 2016.
