Oxfam is searching for inspiring individuals to be Takeover Managers, leading teams of talented volunteers for this year’s legendary Oxjam music festival in October. Oxjam is the nation’s local music festival, showcasing the best emerging talent from Shoreditch to Shetland. Every October towns and cities across the UK are taken over during Oxfam’s month of music, with hundreds of gigs organised by volunteers.

Since 2007 there have been 6,000 Oxjam events, raising over £1 million for Oxfam’s work fighting poverty and suffering across the world. This year Oxjam is celebrating 10 years of local music making a huge global impact.

The festival’s centrepiece is the Oxjam Takeover Weekend. On Saturday 15 October, 50 British towns and cities host their own multi-venue music event.

As an Oxjam Takeover Manager it’s your role to recruit a team of volunteers and inspire them to organise fundraising events for the Oxjam Takeover in their hometown.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone seeking experience in events, music or the charity sector. There are more than 50 Takeover Manager roles up for grabs.
