Newly opened, Pan-Asian noodle bar chain, Chop Wok Express, have struck a successful partnership with local charity Let’s Feed Brum, donating 10 freshly cooked meals every day.

Let’s Feed Brum are a charity providing food, drink, essential supplies and friendship to those living on the streets of Birmingham. With 10 million tonnes of food being thrown away every year in the UK, Let’s Feed Brum brings Birmingham’s cafés, bars and restaurants together to help feed people in these unfortunate circumstances.

All 10 meals will be donated to a homeless shelter which is located inside the St. Catherine’s Church by the O2 Academy. The shelter is managed by the Tabor Living charity and they have around 10 residents. It is currently Birmingham’s only permanent shelter project, helping people back into work, and have had a 50% success rate, since it’s been running for the past 6 years.

The UK’s most exciting, Pan-Asian chain, Chop & Wok is currently expanding with the launch of the first Chop Wok Express in Birmingham City centre on Suffolk Street. Express offers a selection of fan-favourite dishes but at a lower price and with far shorter wait times.

The store has been modelled based upon electro-oriental themed outdoor spaces with visually striking images from the Far East, where the menu draws its influence from. The owner has spent in excess of £50,000 on the branch, with the creation of x5 new jobs.

To celebrate the launch of the new Chop Wok Express, by Chop & Wok, the team decided to work within the local community and help those in need. Chop Wok Express Franchisee, Asif Ishaq said: “We’re really excited by the new Chop Wok Express format. Dishes will literally take a couple of minutes to make, there’s far less burden on the kitchen staff which means we’re able to confidently get deliveries out on time without issue’’.
