From 10.30am, Central Library kicks off a day of activities with Pop up Poetry with Jane Seaborne. At 11am, Tony Perry will be giving a historical talk about The Folds of Wolverhampton while magician Alec Powell will be providing some Magic Moments in the Children's Library from 11.30am.

Birmingham Poet Laureate finalist Kurly – aka Alan McGeachie – will be giving a poetry and rap workshop for teenagers from noon, while there's a craft session for adults from 1pm-3pm. A children's story time from 2.15pm will welcome in the Chinese New Year of The Monkey and there's another story time from 3.15pm.

There is also a range of other activities at other Libraries.

Councillor Elias Mattu, the City of Wolverhampton Council's Cabinet Member for Adults, said: "We're celebrating National Libraries Day with a wide range of activities for all the family, and best of all they are all free.

“This is a great opportunity to find out more about what's on offer at your local library – and if you are not already a member, sign up and join the thousands of people who enjoy using their local library every week."
