Fantasy Forest, a popular family-friendly festival, returns to Gloucestershire on 16th – 17th July and offers a Sunday packed full of exciting entertainment, unique experiences, fantastic food and drink, live music and much more.

A highlight of Sunday 17th July will be an open-air concert by The Film Orchestra in the stunning grounds of Sudeley Castle.

This highly acclaimed 70-piece orchestra will perform music from all your favourite fantasy films, TV shows and games such as Star Wars, Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, World of Warcraft and more.

David Curtis, principal conductor of The Film Orchestra and founder of the Orchestra of the Swan, one of the UK’s most successful chamber orchestras, commented: “The Film Orchestra (TFO) are delighted to be performing at Fantasy Forest Festival in the gorgeous setting of Sudeley Castle. TFO plays the greatest film music with amazing passion and energy so, for an unmissable afternoon out, join us for a fantastical feast of music. See you there!”

As well as enjoying the live Film Orchestra performance, visitors can try their hand at an array of interesting craft and skills workshops, browse the UK’s largest selection of fantasy market stalls (selling everything from handmade crafts and toys, to jewellery and clothing), explore the Medieval Village, listen to captivating storytelling, try their luck at a board game, enjoy live bands throughout the day and much more – all included within the day ticket of just £19.95 for adults, £9.99 for children aged 8 – 15 and under 8s are free. Little ones will be in their element with face painting, lively Enchanted Theatre entertainers, spotting a variety of costumed performers and stilt walkers roaming the grounds, and even the chance to learn how to battle with a lightsaber.

In Tudor times, Sudeley was one of the royals’ favourite castles and was chosen as the final resting place of Queen Katherine Parr. Today it offers a spectacular backdrop for a lively weekend of magical entertainment for all ages, with plenty of space for little ones to play and explore, and adults to relax in the beautiful surroundings while enjoying the varied entertainment.

Martin Pelgrim, from Fantasy Forest Festival, said: “We are excited to bring some magic to Sudeley Castle this summer. What could be better than spending a Sunday wandering around the beautiful, historic castle grounds, browsing market stalls, listening to your favourite film music performed live by a full orchestra, sampling delicious food and drink and enjoying some fantastic entertainment.

“We wanted to ensure the festival was accessible and so the Sunday tickets are just £19.95 for adults, £9.99 for children 8 – 15 years and free for 7 and under, which is excellent value given the live performance from the Film Orchestra is included within the price of the festival ticket.”
