The Drum with Full Joy Promotions are delighted to present Reggae duo Chaka Demus and Pliers who will be visiting Birmingham to be part of a remarkable line up to stage the event Legends of Reggae on Saturday  May  30 at the Tower Ballroom in Edgbaston!

Best known for their hits Tease Me, Twist and Shout and Murder She Wrote. The reggae double act, are the first Jamaican duo to have three consecutive top five hits in the UK singles chart.  The reggae legends have confirmed there attendance to the Legends of Reggae and promise not to disappoint fans current, past and future.

Other acts on the night include; Gyptian, Queen Ifrica, Ken Boothe and Leroy Sibbles. This is the perfect start to the summer and can be enjoyed by couples friends and family alike. To make the night extra special the guests will be treated to support from Priscilla Cameron and Leesha Mac.

Both Chaka Demus and Pliers had established successful solo careers prior to combining their efforts. Demus, who grew up in the Waterhouse district of Kingston, launched his career as a deejay for the Roots Majestic sound system. Although he made his recording debut with the King Jammy - produced single "Increase Your Knowledge," his first hit came in 1986 when he recorded "One Scotch" as a duet with Admiral Bailey.

DJ’s Wassifa, Rankin, DJ Country Man and Warren Tone will be taking the audience on a trip down memory lane. We guarantee that the audience and performance relationship will be nicely pieced together with G Man as the host for the night.
