Wolverhampton teenager, Jason Simms has won the British Drug Free Power Lifting Association (BDFA) World title for the strongest person for his age and weight. Competing in September he won the National title, and on Saturday (November 27) in Dublin, he became World Champion when he lifted the international title.

The 19-year-old, who is currently studying Performing Arts at Worcester University, only started competing in September after being encouraged by fellow students who saw his potential, demonstrated by his disciplined 4:00am gym sessions. His commitment to a healthy lifestyle and the benefits of non-processed, natural plant foods, shakes and meats made it an easy decision to join The British Drug Free Powerlifting Association (BDFPA), formed in 1989 to provide a National platform for Drug Free competition.

Jason is hoping that his break into the world of power lifting, will open doors to the acting career that he wants to pursue – like his idol Arnold Schwarzenegger. Having already briefly appeared as supporting actor in the award-winning film Small Axe, directed by Steve Mc Queen, and twice in the British TV series Doctors, he has been offered a scholarship in Performing Arts by The New Jersey State University in America for a program starting in 2022 – the first time that this university will be financing an overseas student in performing arts.
