Ahead of his appearance on the newest series of Inside, which starts today, on Netflix, former World’s Strongest Man Eddie Hall discussed his appearance on the show, explaining what he found hardest about living with 12 content creators and reality stars.

Speaking exclusively to DuelBits, Hall, who swapped barbells for bunk beds, also teased a major MMA fight for this summer, once again called out Dillon Danis, and revealed why we could soon see him in the Australian jungle. Hall reveals that he initially said no to appearing on Inside but was glad that he changed his mind. He said: “Honestly, my first reaction when I was asked was to say no, as it’s not something I’m comfortable with.

“But after speaking with my PA, she said her daughter is absolutely obsessed with the show, so I took a second look and then realised it was actually quite a big deal. I didn’t realise how huge it was with younger generations, so I took a chance and stepped outside of my comfort zone. Living with strangers for 24 hours a day was pretty tough.

“I didn’t think I would be able to sleep in the same room as 12 other people, but I surprised myself and persevered. I’m glad that I went for it as it actually turned out okay.” Unsurprisingly, the 38-year-old said the food was the hardest part of being on Inside, and says he was often left hungry to keep housemates on side despite having the option to upgrade to a larger meal.

He said: “The most challenging part was definitely the food.

“They served three meals a day of beans and rice, so I only ended up eating once a day, which was pretty tough. I wasn’t given any special treatment, we were all given the same-sized meals every day. We had the opportunity to upgrade our meals, and I was actually very sensible.

“I made sure I didn’t overdo it or else I would have been voted out, and that’s the last thing I wanted. However, thankfully, I’m pretty sure I probably had a few more hundred calories than the other guys on the meal upgrades, though.” Despite his imposing presence, Hall insists viewers won’t see him in any explosive confrontations, but reveals what he did to annoy the others, and also what they did to frustrate him.

He said: “I did wind a lot of the other contestants up using the shop.

“You’ll have to wait and see, but I think I managed to get under a few people's skin by doing that. I’m always myself on camera and off camera, so there aren’t any major surprises there. When someone was being an idiot or aggravated me, I made sure to let them know what I thought of them in the moment.

“I handle pressure pretty well, and if someone’s getting under my skin, I know just to walk away and count to 10. I don’t think there were too many big clashes, to be honest, but you will see who irritated each other. Personally, I got on with everyone in the house.

“I clung to the boys a bit more than the girls for obvious reasons.” Hall was asked if more reality TV appearances are on the horizon and says a trip to Australia could be on the cards in the future. He said: “I’m a Celeb is a possibility, and it’s a show I’d probably enjoy doing.

“I’m not so sure I’d be able to do something like Strictly Come Dancing, I’m perhaps a little bit too musclebound for that kind of thing, so the jungle is one I’ve set my eye on.” Away from Inside, Hall teased his return to the MMA cage in a major fight set to be announced for this summer and spoke about who else is on his wish list before the end of the year.

He said: “I’ve got a big fight lined up later in the year which I can’t say just yet. But keep your eyes peeled.

“I’m hoping to have a big-name fight in June and then again before the end of the year. I really want to fight Dillon Danis, he’s got to be the most hated guy in MMA. I can’t believe how arrogant he is.

“He says that he seriously thinks he can take me, but he’s deluded. Danis is definitely running scared, if he wasn’t, then he would have signed a contract to fight me by now. Away from the ring, I’ve got my own TV show coming out called Battle of the Beasts, and then another documentary coming out called Taming the Beast.”
