10% increase in the number of people working more than 48 hours a week in the West Midlands
The number of people working excessive hours in the West Midlands has risen by 10 per cent since 2010, according to a new TUC analysis published recently. The number of employees working more than 48 hours per week in the West Midlands has now reached 249,000 – up by 23,000 since 2010 – following more than a decade of decline in long hours working.
