Jamaica’s Minister of Education Fayval Williams said the Government would revisit the funding model for low-performing schools and possibly do away with the one-size-fits-all model where resources are allocated equally per student.

The Minister said: “We have to do it in a very transparent manner so that all persons will understand.

Journalists who register for the spring meeting of the American Chemical Society (ACS) will have access to more than 12,000 presentations on a variety of topics.

It was announced that actor Emilio Delgado, who appeared on Sesame Street for more than four decades, has died.

Delgado was a presence in children's lives for 45 years, playing the fix-it shop owner Luis on the long-running series. His wife, Carol Delgado, confirmed he had died from the blood cancer multiple myeloma, which he had been battling since 2020, at their home in New York.
