Colourful tractors slowly chug through a barn and past fruit and vegetable gardens. A small rollercoaster crawls past rugged rocks, before smoothly gliding down over green hills and passing grazing sheep. The scent of freshly baked pies rises from an old timber framed house. Ireland – Children's World is just waiting to be discovered by explorers of all ages. Exciting adventures, new attractions, and almost 4,000 plants turn the 14th European themed area into a lush, green Emerald Isle.
Surrounded by the river Elz and right next to the English themed area, Ireland – Children's World looks like a real island. Three bridges lead curious discoverers into the land of green hills, goblins, and marvellous castles. Throughout the 10,000 sqm of the Emerald Isle, visitors can discover a fantastic themed area for the whole family. With attractions, gastronomic offerings, and shows, Ireland really is a park within the park.
Hidden inside a red brick building, the new children's swing boat, Dancing Dingie lies in the dock. Brave sailors embark on a stormy ride, as the boat not only swings backwards and forwards, but turns in circles – a thrilling ride for all ages. At the Sheep Rock boat carousel, mini seamen set sail in their little boats. The new children's rollercoaster Ba-a-a Express takes young goblins along rugged rocks, over green hills, and past grazing sheep. The little train gives children aged 3+ and at least 95cm tall their first taste of a real rollercoaster. At Old Mac Donald's Tractor Fun, the junior farmers chug slowly over hedge and ditch. The life-sized tractors drive along fruit and vegetable gardens, whilst parent passengers take their seats in the back. The 18 dragons on the Spinning Dragons family carousel will do their best to confuse visitors' sense of direction and the Tower Tow will challenge everybody's strength. Only the strongest visitors will reach the top of the 9 metre high tower, as they haul themselves up using a rope. In the Quipse Paddle Boats, little canoeists join Europa-Park's Quipse on an entertaining paddle around the Tower Tow.
The new themed area Ireland – Children's World is a huge and exciting addition to Europa-Park's family offering. Ireland guarantees oodles of fun, especially for small children. Pirates can have a water fight at Paul's Playboat, whilst the Little Lambs Land playground provides a plethora of different games and slides. Dingle Bay beach is somewhat calmer. Parents can enjoy the sunshine on a deckchair while children build huge sandcastles – just like the 15 metre high tower of Limerick Castle, which children can whizz down from on several different slides.
Experience unique adventures in the mystical play area of Limerick Castle. The 600 sqm hall in the form of an Irish castle is packed with mazes, slides, and climbing areas, spread over three levels. High in the air lies the fairy realm, where courageous visitors will join the Quipse to discover a little village of huts, connected by wooden beams and nets. Meanwhile, parents can relax next-door in The O'Mackay's Café and Pub with a cold Guinness. The new restaurant features not only a sun terrace, but a traditional pub on the first floor. Alongside the creative sandwiches, fresh pies, and delicious lamb burgers, visitors can try the home-brewed O-Mackay beer. Tempting cakes and speciality coffees invite everybody to linger at the Café.
