Building on its success and wanting to offer clients a broader choice, Authentic India Tours has expanded its portfolio to include destinations in the Indian Subcontinent.

The team's dedicated travel experts based in Cochin, London and Swansea are excited to offer extra special holiday experiences with an 'authentic' feel in Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and the Maldives, as well as offering tours throughout India.

To celebrate this they are offering 10% off full-price private and group tours to visitors at the February 2023 Destination Show in London.

Authentic India Tours was established in 2018, after staff from its parent company Compton Group enjoyed the chance to visit colleagues in the Chennai office. During these work trips, many of the team extended their stay to enjoy holidays in southern India, particularly the stunning region of Kerala, which boasts 600km of Arabian sea shoreline, spectacular mountain ranges, fascinating culture and history as well as the famous Kerala backwaters.

The company began to work with local Indian travel experts to craft original tours and experiences that showcase southern India's well-known treasures and hidden gems. Private and group tours were designed, as well as specialist holidays for fans of cycling, cuisine, trekking, bird watching and wellness, and dreamy destinations for honeymoons and weddings.

In 2019, Authentic India Tours quickly expanded to include tours of North India, followed by destinations in the west, east and the Indian Himalayas, alongside river cruises and beach extensions to the Andaman Islands.

To capitalise on their success and to give a broader choice to clients, Authentic India Tours has launched tailor-made holidays and small group tours to Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan. These magical destinations are brimming with amazing experiences, including World Heritage Sites, vibrant cities, lofty mountains and incredible wildlife, and can be visited as part of a multi-centre holiday or as a comprehensive solo country tour. Itineraries are tailored to suit the interests and abilities of a wide range of visitors.

For all destinations in India and beyond, there's a wonderful range of accommodation to choose from, including private beach villas, eco hotels, heritage properties, homestays and wildlife retreats in protected animal reserves.

Angela Coyle, Head of Marketing, said: “Many of the amazing hotels we work with offer luxury facilities for their guests with great initiatives working with local communities. They run their own farms and serve dishes made entirely from fresh locally produced organic food. They embrace the local environment with buildings made from locally sourced materials and are working hard to minimise their use of plastics. For us, this is so important as we're passionate about supporting eco-tourism and sustainability.

“We want to be responsible and conscientious as a business. The Subcontinent is new territory for us but we're lucky to be working with brilliant local experts and advisors to guide us along the way.”

Authentic India Tours will be exhibiting at the Destinations Show in Olympia in February 2023, and the Hay Festival in June 2023.
