Get ready for a night of sensational Soul, Funk and Bollywood fusion, as the incredible London collective Botown return to The Drum on Saturday June 6. One of the most exciting and engaging music acts to emerge from London in recent years, an eight-piece fusion band that have given lovers of Bollywood and Soul music a brand new groove.

Reimagining the Bollywood genre, the works of legends such as RD Burman, Kishore Kumar, AR Rahman, Asha Bhosle and Amitabh Bachchan are mashed up and melded with the likes of Ray Charles, James Brown and Aretha Franklin, blended with a splash of Gospel, Funk, Jazz, Blues and Reggae.

Founded by Ajay Srivastav and made up of many well-known London musicians, Botown are dedicated to keeping music live and real, with shows regularlly veering into freeform improvisation, spontaneous solo, and audience participation where fans sing and dance along with the band.

Performing from London's legendary Jazz Cafe, to crowds of 30,000 in Trafalgar Square, and even the 2012 Olympic Opening Weekend with BBC London, Botown are a musical bridge between cultures by inventing a brand new genre of music.
