The Caribbean Culture Fund (CCF) invited creatives to an information session on its first round of available grants.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. CCF is a new initiative to support individuals and organizations in the arts and culture sector across the Caribbean.

Focused on promoting social and cultural justice and fostering intercultural dialogue, the CCF aims to support a wide range of artistic endeavours, including visual, literary, performing and festival arts; film; interdisciplinary art forms; architecture and design. The first call for proposals opened April 1 and will close April 30. Eligible countries for this round include Barbados, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Dominican Republic, and Haiti with plans to expand the reach in future calls.

A total of US $250,000 will be distributed in this first round of grants, with Michele Pierre-Louis, Chair of the CCF Steering Committee, and Dr. Ayoka Wiles of Open Society Foundations, funders of the first round of grants, set to address the interested applicants. The application form will be reviewed, and applicants will have the opportunity to ask questions about the process.
