Comfort Suites Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman has captured four of this year's five Caribbean Star Awards which are given out by Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE:CHH), one of the world's leading hotel companies and franchisor of 10 hotel brands and the Ascend Hotel Collection membership program, a global portfolio of unique independent hotels and resorts.

Choice Hotels awards these distinctions based on achievement in key areas of guest satisfaction and support of loyalty programs within Choice's Caribbean portfolio of hotels.

Presented to hoteliers at the lodging company's annual Fall Caribbean meeting in Miami last month, the Comfort Suites Seven Mile Beach hotel in the Cayman Islands was selected as the "Highest Ranking Within Brand among Caribbean Hotels" as compared to similar brand hotels in North America, based on guest satisfaction, quality assurance review scores, and having met numerous brand standards.

Run by veteran hotelier and general manager Thomas Mason, the hotel also captured the "Most Improved Likelihood to Recommend Rating" - the highest year-over-year increase in guest satisfaction as reported by guests in their post-stay surveys - and "Highest Likelihood to Recommend Rating," generating the highest score among Choice's Caribbean properties located in Aruba, Bahamas, Curaçao, Cayman Islands, Puerto Rico and St. Maarten.

The 119-room, all-suites Comfort Suites Seven Mile Beach hotel in Grand Cayman also earned the "Highest Choice Privileges Elite Recognition" by demonstrating the highest rate of recognition and engagement of elite level status members of Choice Privileges during their stay.

"We sincerely appreciate the deep commitment of the leadership and teams at all of Choice Hotels' franchised properties in the Caribbean to ensuring highest levels of guest satisfaction and in recognizing and rewarding members of our guest loyalty program," said Bill Clegg, regional vice president, Franchise Services and Programs for Choice Hotels International.

Clegg admitted it is uncommon for a single property to sweep so many of the annual awards. "But Comfort Suites Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman, under the leadership of Tom Mason, sharpened its focus this year on building and ensuring guest satisfaction and we're pleased to be able to recognize their hard work and dedication."

"Well done," said Mason in a message to the staff of the popular Cayman hotel. "These awards are a great reflection and result of your tireless work and commitment to our organization. You have made me very proud of you and I thank you all for what you do each day."
Clegg also praised the leadership of Comfort Inn San Juan for registering the "Highest Choice Privileges Enrollments" year-to-date, by enrolling the largest number of new members into Choice's loyalty program.

"Following this year's awards, we've hit the reset button and look forward to working with all of the Caribbean hotels in the Choice portfolio to aid their achievements in the coming year. We can't wait to see which hotels excel in these categories and earn the awards next year," Clegg added.
