Mekazoo, which we first looked at back at EGX 2016 at the NEC earlier this year, has now launched onto Playstation 4 and Xbox One in Europe. The free-flowing neon-infused platformer takes inspiration from the great and nostalgic platformers of old, giving players access to 5 Mekanimals, each with their own individual strengths. From Frog, to Armadillo, Wallaby, Panda and Pelican, you are able to swing, boost, bounce, climb and fly your way through each level.
With fast swapping between each Mekanimal, players will navigate complicated terrain, overcome environmental hazards and face off against an insectoid army.
The gameplay is fast and furious, with split second decisions and character swaps required to ensure that you, or you and your friend in its co-op multiplayer mode make it through successfully.
In co-op however, half the issue is controlling the Mekanimal on screen! With only one Mekanimal on screen at a time, players are required to try to collaborate as a ‘hive mind’ to ensure success.
Mekazoo is available on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC now, for about £15 depending on platform.
