With four children everyday being diagnosed with blood cancer in the UK, Cure Leukaemia have announced the launch of The ATICUS Network (Accelerating Trials in Children Undergoing Stem Cell Transplant), a pioneering collaboration between 11 leading UK Children’s Hospitals to revolutionise clinical trial access for children battling blood cancer.
Backed by former England Footballer and Cure Leukaemia Patron, Gary Lineker, the network, which includes prominent hospitals such as Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, and Birmingham Children’s Hospital, will connect young patients across the UK to world-first stem cell transplant trials. To help fund the ATICUS Network and ensure that these trials can start as soon as possible, Cure Leukaemia have just launched its Club 10 initiative, calling on businesses across the UK to pledge £10,000 towards the £1million cost of the network.
They have 10 businesses signed up for Club 10 and would love to get support by joining the fight against blood cancer and giving hope to thousands of children across the UK. This pioneering network will support life-saving clinical trials across ten children’s hospitals nationwide.
With an annual cost of £1 million to sustain this vital work, Club 10 invites businesses to pledge £10,000 per year, joining forces with Cure Leukaemia to give hope to children battling leukaemia. As a Club 10 member, pledging £10,000 per year to support the £1million annual cost of the paediatric network and joining the CL family, you will receive:
- Quarterly updates on the progress of the ATICUS Network that you are supporting
- Meet Clinicians and Research Nurses across the network to hear how your money is helping blood cancer patients
