Over the years the Premier League has been home to some hard tacklers such as Roy Keane and Lee Cattermole, but what about the players that are the ‘good eggs’? Players that don’t play dirty?

Ticketgum can reveal that Nathaniel Clyne (pic) is the player who plays the cleanest in the Premier League, scoring 9.95 out of 10. During this season the 32-year-old Crystal Palace right-back has played seven full matches in which he hasn’t received any yellow or red cards and has only committed two fouls (equivalent to 0.28 fouls per match).

He is also the only player in the top 10 who hasn’t drawn a single foul. Scoring 9.70 out of 10, Brentford centre-back Ethan Pinnock is the Premier League’s second cleanest player.

The 30-year-old, who joined the London side in 2019 has played 19 full matches this season and hasn’t received any yellow or red cards. He has also only committed two fouls this season (0.11 fouls per match) but also has drawn seven fouls this season (0.37 fouls per match) earning his second-place position.

Ryan John Giles is the league’s third cleanest, scoring 9.64 out of 10. The Luton Town left-back, currently on loan to Hull City since Jan 30th this year, has played five full matches for the club this season.

Also, he has only committed two fouls this season (0.36 fouls per match) and drawn two fouls (0.36 fouls per match) whilst with the club. Burnley’s Mike Trésor is the fourth cleanest in the league, scoring 9.61 out of 10, only 0.03 fewer points than Giles.

The Left-Winger, who has played four full matches this season is undoubtedly the club’s cleanest player, having his only two fouls (0.45 fouls per match) drawn during his 396 minutes played with the club. He and Angelo Ogbonna in fifth place are the only two players in the top 10 not to have committed a single foul this season.

Trailing at the bottom of the top 10 is Christian Eriksen. The Manchester United Midfielder has committed five fouls this season from his eight full match appearances (equivalent to 0.57 fouls per match) but has had two of those drawn (0.23 fouls per match), making him the club’s cleanest player, with defender Raphaël Varane just behind him in 14th place.
