easyJet, the UK’s largest airline, has announced a new route from Birmingham to Lisbon in Portugal which will take off this winter. The new route comes following new services from the airport to Nantes, Faro, Malaga and Palma de Mallorca, which took off for the first time earlier this summer.

Flights to Lisbon are scheduled to take off from Birmingham from 2 November 2022 with departures twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays, providing a convenient direct connection for customers in the midlands to enjoy a city break to Portugal’s cosmopolitan capital this winter. Seats go on sale on easyJet.com and via the mobile app from 15th August.

In recent months, easyJet’s operations in Birmingham have seen sustained growth, and the airline now serves customers in Birmingham and surrounding area via ten airports in the UK and Europe, connecting to city, ski, and beach destinations via Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Amsterdam, Geneva, Palma, Malaga, Faro, Nantes - and now Lisbon. This winter the airline will be the number one carrier between the UK and Portugal, offering more seats than any other airline and more choice for customers when it comes to picking a winter break.

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager said: “As the UK’s largest airline, we are delighted to announce yet another new route from Birmingham today. We remain focused on offering more choice and great value for our customers in the Midlands, whether they are travelling on their holidays, visiting friends and family, or for business, and I would like to thank our fantastic customers for choosing to fly with easyJet.”
