The Swallow Falls Inn will begin welcoming guests to enjoy the splendour of Snowdonia for the first time in three years in 2025 as The Inn Collection Group opens bookings for its cosy new pub with rooms in Betws-y-coed.

Currently undergoing a multi-million-pound refurbishment by its Newcastle-based owners, the first guests to the new-look inn will check in from Friday 28th February and kick off an exciting new chapter for the historic property. Since beginning in February, works undertaken to date include the forming of brand-new bedrooms in the main building, old Youth Hostel Association building and the former Tavern.

State of the art kitchen facilities are being created whilst slate roofs have been renewed, along with the installation of new utilities including a water treatment plant and electrical sub-stations. As the refurbishment project continues to progress, fitting out of bedrooms, and the renovation of the bar and restaurant area will be the key areas of focus ahead of the inn reopening.

Building on more than 150 years of heritage offering superb hospitality next to Wales' highest continuous waterfalls, The Swallow Falls Inn's new look will offer a traditional, cosy pub with 38 relaxing, contemporary-styled bedrooms. Offering a mix of twin, double and family rooms, each room will be equipped with comfortable beds, dressing tables and en suite bathrooms alongside all the essential amenities including flat-screen TVs and complimentary Wifi.

Midweek bed and breakfast breaks will be available from just £89 during March, whist weekend getaways will be available from £145, both based on two sharing. For the first month, The Inn Collection group's popular Winter Breaks promotion will also be live, making one-night dinner bed and breakfast stays for two available from just £99.

In a first for The Inn Collection Group and opening later in the spring, The Swallow Falls Inn will retain its campsite with 30 pitches allowing those who prefer to spend the night under canvas to enjoy the tranquillity of the area. Three renovated camping “pods” will provide a further choice of accommodation type whilst facilities provided will include male and female showers, complete with vanity units and toilets.

Serving Betws-y-coed residents and visitors alike, the pub side of The Swallow Falls Inn will be open all day, every day and will serve delicious food and well-kept drinks in a welcoming atmosphere. Transformed, the new-look inn will boast 146 internal covers, with the outdoor terrace providing a further 56.

Starting with breakfast from 8am and light bites between 11am and 5pm through to a main menu packed with pub classics from Noon to 9pm, there will be dining options suited to every visit. As at Beaumaris' The Bull's Head Inn, The Inn Collection Group's other trading venue in Wales, a range of local flavours will be available at The Swallow Falls Inn, served across both food and beverage menus.

Commenting on bookings opening at The Swallow Falls Inn for the first time under The Inn Collection Group's ownership, rooms director Kate Bentley said: “We are hugely excited to see The Swallow Falls Inn refurbishment progressing and are delighted to have opened bookings for our newest inn.

“We know that there is a lot of interest in The Swallow Falls Inn and people are eager to see it reopen, so we're delighted to have opened bookings for its first stays. The renovation is creating a gorgeous venue in one of the most beautiful parts of Wales and we can't wait to welcome our first guests in time for spring and offer our award-winning style of hospitality in Eryri national park.

“With our location next to Swallow Falls, we are ideally sited whether you plan to stay over or just refresh after enjoying the majesty of the falls or Gwydir forest. There is still work to do before we can start showing off the individual charm and character of The Swallow Falls Inn, but we're sure our look and style are going to be enjoyed by customers in a new area of operation for us.

“We're also looking forward to introducing the splendour of the area to a new audience too and welcoming our loyal customers to our newest property where you'll fit right inn.”
