Visitors from around the globe have been singing the praises of the Library of Birmingham. Simply click on the map above to see what people think. Councillor Penny Holbrook, cabinet member for learning, skills and culture, said: “Since the Library of Birmingham opened it has been attracting visitors from within the city, around the UK and around the world."

As well as being a lending library resource for locals, it is a tourist attraction in its own right, with people coming from around the globe to see our Shakespeare collection, the beautiful terraces and city views, and generally enjoy a wonderful public building.

“It is particularly interesting to see the comments praising the fact that joining and using the internet is free and that it is such a good learning resource.”
