Dr James Nussey has been appointed as Clarke Wilmott LLP's new Director of Finance, succeeding Bob Bruce who has been at the national law firm's financial helm after 6 years, seeing significant growth during his time, including new offices in Cardiff, London and Manchester. Nussey moves to the law firm’s Bristol headquarters from listed education support services provider Tribal Group, where he has spent the last 6 years in a number of different finance roles.
Stephen Rosser, chief executive of Clarke Willmott, said: “While Bob Bruce has been our Director of Finance we have expanded from four offices to seven nationally, and the partnership has grown from 71 to 104, so it’s been an exciting period and he’s made an invaluable contribution.
“Bob’s are big shoes to fill, but we’re confident that James Nussey is also going to be a fantastic asset to the firm.
“Since 2011 Clarke Willmott has experienced strong and steady year-on-year growth, so James is taking on a key role and we’re confident he will support us to continue developing as a quality-focussed firm.”
Clarke Willmott now employs over 500 people across its offices in Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, London, Manchester, Southampton and Taunton and continues to grow, providing a wide range of legal services to corporate clients, organisations and individuals.
Nussey, who will be heading up a 20-strong accounts, credit control and financial management team, said: “I’m delighted to be joining at such an exciting time in the firm’s development.”
