The Worcester Wolves have swooped to sign one of the UK's most exciting talents as Orlan Jackman joined the Wolf Pack today. He left CAB Madeira in Portugal and is delighted to be joining the Worcester outfit and make a return to the BBL, where he last played for London Lions in 2012 as one of the League's most impressive rookies and was named in the All-British BBL team.

The explosive forward/guard has an impressive pedigree with a college career in the United States at NJCAA Division 1 Seminole State in Oklahoma for two years, before transferring to Oklahoma City University, where he spent a further two seasons. He was included in the Great Britain senior squad for the first time in 2013, having previously featured for the GB under 16's and 20's in European competition.

He then signed for German Regionaliga side, Iserjohn Kangeroos for two years, where he led them to the play-offs for promotion to Pro - A in 2015 as their player of the year and averaged 15.9 points per game and 8.1 rebounds.

"I am extremely excited for the opportunity to win silverware in my own country, that's the dream, and the reality is that they are working towards that at Worcester," said Jackman on his move to Worcester.

Wolves Head Coach Paul James was thrilled with his latest signing, saying: "I'm delighted that we have been able to secure the exciting talent that is 6'7"Orlan Jackman for the remainder of the season.

"He is a versatile player who can score in many different ways and can play in multiple positions. Orlan will also will also bring added toughness to the team at both ends of the floor. I'm very excited to have him on the team and really appreciate the hard work undertaken by the Directors of the club in helping to make this possible."

Despite his absence recently from the UK during the regular basketball season, Orlan has enjoyed a high profile as a leading figure in the prestigious Midnight Madness competition and has been a true role model for youngsters in his home city of London.

Wolves Managing Director Mick Donovan added: "There are many qualities that Orlan will bring to Worcester as a person and a player and it is significant that a very talented UK player has opted to play in his home country's professional league."

Jackman will make his debut next Friday, December 11 when the Wolves host Leicester Riders.
