Following the recent announcement of the stepping down of Black Country Chamber Chief Executive Margaret Corneby, the search is on for her replacement. Chamber President, Ninder Johal said: “We are embracing an outward facing culture focused on delivering our aim, growing our membership and working closely with our stakeholders.

“There are many issues for Chambers to consider at the moment and going forward, devolution of powers and the West Midlands Combined Authority, the Midlands Engine, the government’s Productivity Plan and the EU referendum just to name a few. We can no longer afford to sit on the side line with these challenges: our leadership is needed to ensure that Black Country businesses can shape and benefit from these changes.

“The Chamber is robust financially and has strong ambitions: Our new Chief Executive needs to inspire the confidence of businesses and stakeholders alike and ensure that the Chamber is well positioned locally, regionally and nationally to represent us in the media, amongst decision makers and within the global business community.

“We are looking for a strong track record and experience at influencing at the top level.”
