The Cube is partnering with Yoga Sweat 2.0 to host a free lunchtime yoga session this April, helping Birmingham residents unwind and prioritise their wellbeing as part of Stress Awareness Month.
Taking place at The Cube on Wednesday 22nd April at 12:30pm, the session will offer locals the chance to step away from their busy schedules and enjoy a calming yoga and meditation experience designed to reduce stress and support both physical and mental wellbeing. Hosted by Yoga Sweat 2.0, which moved to The Cube in January, the class will include gentle yoga movements, simple breathing techniques and a short, guided meditation, making it suitable for all experience levels - including complete beginners.
Following the class, guests will also be able to enjoy complimentary tea provided by The Cube’s Japanese dining destination, Shogun, offering a moment to relax and connect with others after the session. The event forms part of Stress Awareness Month, highlighting the importance of managing stress and supporting mental wellbeing.
Yoga has long been recognised for its ability to ease tension, improve focus and promote overall health, making it an ideal activity for those looking to introduce more mindfulness into their daily routine. Lauren Tozer, senior facilities manager at The Cube, said: “We’re delighted to be working with our tenant, Yoga Sweat 2.0, to host this free session for Stress Awareness Month.
“Life can often feel busy and overwhelming, particularly in a city environment, so it’s important to create opportunities for people to pause and focus on their wellbeing. This event is a great chance for Birmingham locals and nearby businesses to take a break, recharge and experience the benefits of yoga.”
Raman Devi, owner at Yoga Sweat, added: “Yoga is a powerful tool for managing stress and creating balance in our daily lives.
“Stress Awareness Month is a great opportunity to remind people how important it is to take time for themselves, even during a busy workday. We’re really excited to welcome the Birmingham community to this free session at The Cube and help people experience the calming and restorative benefits of yoga, whether they’re completely new to the practice or returning to the mat.”
The well-established yoga studio recently relocated to The Cube, marking a new chapter for the business while building on its strong reputation within Birmingham’s yoga community. Since opening, the studio has continued to attract a loyal following, with its welcoming approach and diverse programme of classes proving popular with both experienced practitioners and those completely new to yoga.
The class will take place on Level 8 at The Cube and spaces are limited, so advance booking is required via the Yoga Sweat website. Widely considered one of the most compelling additions to Birmingham’s skyline, The Cube is an iconic venue located in the heart of the city.
The 24-storey landmark is home to a vibrant mix of restaurants and bars, a luxury hotel, a boutique bowling alley, aspirational residential apartments and premium office space. It also houses the UK’s largest automated car park. Situated just a few minutes’ walk from New Street Station, The Mailbox, Brindleyplace, the ICC and Birmingham’s major retail destinations, including Bullring and Grand Central – The Cube was designed by award-winning architects Ken Shuttleworth and Make.
The building’s distinctive jewel-like exterior is complemented inside by striking bronze sculptures created by renowned Birmingham street artist Temper.
