After her own personal experiences of being in a broken long-term relationship, Ewaen Mariam Osagie offers a route to healing for others after finding that all of the resources that she looked for in her own time of need were by popular preachers and experts rather than a regular person that she could relate to.

She offers such guidance through her Youtube Channel @CourtneyOsagie and other social media, giving advice on healing, self-love and relationships to bring her viewers hope. ‘God, I Like My Plan Better’ describes a very painful time in the author’s life when a long-term relationship abruptly came to an end.

The shock from this drove her to a place so dark, she did not think she could continue living. Osagie discusses the aftermath of this hurt and how God has led her to a place of healing. ‘Healing is a difficult phase, but if we do not heal, we stay stuck’, and in God, I Like My Plan Better, Osagie offers advice on how to navigate the stages of healing emotional grief and giving yourself grace.

Though the journey has been tough, filled with many tears and mistakes, she has reached a place of peace and wants to use her knowledge to encourage others that after pain comes sunshine. Ewaen Mariam Osagie is a Nigerian trained Lawyer, who grew up in Coventry, in the West Midlands, and works in the United Kingdom.

She has a Masters in Commercial and Corporate Law, from London School of Economics and is very passionate about healing people from all kinds of emotional hurt, trauma and pain whilst encouraging them to boldly start afresh if they need to. She has a YouTube channel as well as other social media accounts which is currently her main avenue for bringing about emotional healing to people. ‘God, I Like My Plan Better’ is Osagie’s first book.

Ewaen explains: “I wrote this book to encourage people hurting, people grieving because of heartbreak, a divorce, or anything kind of pain life might throw at them, letting them know that there is light at the end of the tunnel. When I went through a very painful experience and did not think I could carry on, I went searching for books, articles and so on that could help me; I found a few.

“The likes of Joyce Meyer, Sarah Jakes and popular preachers. But I was looking for something written by an ordinary person, something so relatable that it could help in the healing process.

“So I decided to write one of my own.”
