Situated within the Arctic Circle in the upper Northwest corner of Canada, the Yukon is the ideal location for Aurora viewings. On 24 November 2017, in partnership with the Yukon Astronomical Society and Tourism Yukon, Air North's inaugural Northern Lights flight took off from the Yukon's capital city Whitehorse, to view the phenomenon from 36,000 feet. For the first time ever in Canada, 91 passengers on board the 'Yukon's Airline' flight experienced incredible Aurora viewings just nine minutes after take-off, which lasted for three hours.
