Indian television actress Dalljiet Kaur tied the knot with businessman Nikhil Patel on March 18, 2023, in a beautiful day wedding in Mumbai, India.
The couple was dressed in ivory-coloured ensembles for the ceremony, which was attended by close friends and family. The wedding was shared on social media by celebrities Karishma Tanna and Ridhi Dogra, who shared pictures and videos from the ceremony.
The wedding was preceded by pre-wedding ceremonies, including mehendi, haldi, and sangeet, attended by industry friends and celebrities, such as Sanaya Irani, Sunayana Fozdar, and Karishma Tanna. During the mehendi ceremony, Dalljiet’s girl gang performed a beautiful dance, which was cheered on by the attendees.
In a heartfelt message on Instagram, Dalljiet shared pictures of her emotional day, featuring her parents and captioned: ‘And it begins. Emotional day for me and my family. Keep us in your prayers.’
The actress also shared pictures from the haldi ceremony with Nikhil, captioned: ‘To new beginnings, one step at a time.’
Sharing an adorable picture, she wrote: ‘The stars aligned and fate played a part in bringing our hearts and souls together. Our journey to forever starts now. A new life, a new country (Kenya in Africa), a new beginning. Together.’
Dalljiet, who was previously married to actor Shalin Bhanot, announced her second wedding a few days before the wedding. Dalljiet’s son from her previous marriage, Jaydon, played a significant role in her new life.
In an interview, Dalljiet revealed that her son had an instinctive connection with Nikhil. “When he met Nik for the first time a couple of months ago, he addressed him as papa on his own.
“I just froze thinking Nik kya sochega, as we hadn’t decided on marriage back then. Nik, without even batting an eyelid, started playing with him. That day when Jaydon met him, we just knew that we wanted to be together.”
Dalljiet’s ex-husband Shalin Bhanot also congratulated the couple on their union, saying: “I am very happy for her. May God bless her and give her all the happiness she deserves.
“It’s normal for people to move on, and they should give life another chance. Some adjustments need to be made, and that’s okay.” Dalljiet and Nikhil’s wedding marks a new start for the couple in Africa, where they both recently had a holiday in Zanzibar.
Acting wise, Dalljiet Kaur has appeared in many television serials including Kulvaddhu, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? and Kaala Teeka, and music videos like Harjaiyaan and Befikar Raho which she also produced.
In 2019, she took part in the television reality show Bigg Boss 13. She also won the dance show Nach Baliye with her ex-husband Shalin Bhanot.
