Following a successful start to 2016, over half of the most popular selling tours of the year so far from Tucan Travel were trips to Peru. The top selling group tour was their 21 day Peru Completed group tour which departs weekly from Lima. It includes highlights such as a two night excursion in the Amazon Jungle, the Inca Trek to Machu Picchu and a guided tour of the site and a day trip onto Lake Titicaca. Also included on the list were their 15 day Magical Incas tour and their 8 day Amazon & Incas trip, suggesting that people the long-haul destination is popular for shorter trips as well.

Established in 1987, Tucan Travel have a well-established name for group tours to South and Central America. Today, trips in the region remain their most popular.

The demand for trips to Peru is expected to further increase once British Airways begins running their direct flights from London Gatwick to Lima in May. Latin America Destination Manager Rolf Stanley is quoted “Our sales from 2016 so far make it clear that the demand for South America travel, especially Peru is high. Travel to Peru is becoming more accessible.”
