As the Cannes Film Festival 2015 starts this week, five star hotel Le Mas Candille, located five miles from the City is giving guests the opportunity to see the festival from the sky. The 'Flying High' package costs from €249 per person and includes a one night stay at the 5 star boutique hotel, a buffet breakfast, and a 20 minute helicopter flight over the bay of Cannes. The package is available from now until the end of September.

Soaring over the city, guests will see a clash of colours as the blue sea meets with white sands of Cannes beach. They will fly over the beautiful island of Saint-Margaret, as well as the Ile de Lérins, a private island with its own vineyard that's inhabited by monks. Guests will have a bird's eye view of the billionaire's and film star's yachts that are moored in the harbour, as well as the Palais des Festivals; all with the beautiful backdrop pre-Alpes Mountains in the distance.

Le Mas Candille itself is a tranquil retreat in the hills of Mougins and a firm favourite of celebrities and those in the know. The hotel is also a foodie haven, with a Michelin-starred restaurant, as well as poolside restaurant La Pergola. The picture perfect old village of Mougins is just a ten minute walk away with its' typically French cobbled streets and independent cafes, restaurants and art galleries. The village is steeped in history and culture, and was Picasso's home for the last 12 years of his life.

Cannes offers countless glamorous bars and restaurants, the most sought after designer shops, as well as breathtaking architecture and a harbor full of yachts. Those visiting can have their photo taken on the red carpet at the Palais Des Festivals, and take a moment to relax on the beautiful sandy beach that's lined with exclusive restaurants.

After exploring the area, the infinity pool and Shiseido Spa offer an idyllic haven to retreat to. The only one of its type in France, the spa was built around a 'Zen' philosophy and lies nestled within colourful Japanese gardens. There is an outdoor heated Jacuzzi and hydrotherapy pool, a sauna, private yoga terraces and an al-fresco gym.

If they wish, guests can dine on the terrace of the hotel, watching the sun go down as they enjoy the Michelin starred gastronomy of head chef David Chauvac.
