Savvy shoppers hoping to grab a bargain in this month’s Black Friday deals are being asked to consider supporting West Bromwich based charity, the Kaleidoscope Plus Group. The West Bromwich-based charity helps thousands of people across the UK each year and offers a range of services for people in need, struggling with their emotional health and wellbeing.

Kaleidoscope Plus Group are asking shoppers to consider using Amazon smile or shopping platform Give as you Live for any Black Friday or Christmas shopping, they may be doing. Amazon Smile is the same as Amazon and offers the same products, same great prices and same services, but it donates a portion of profits made to a specific charity.

Purchasers just need to sign in using their existing Amazon account details to get started. After signing in, online shoppers just need to complete a simple search for ‘the Kaleidoscope Plus Group’ and select it as the charity to support.

By shopping through AmazonSmile instead of amazon.co.uk, Amazon will donate 0.5% of the purchase price to your chosen charity. Other than the charity support, AmazonSmile works the same as Amazon UK, you can still access the same products and sellers and shop in the same way.

When shopping through the Give as you Live platform, shoppers are generating charitable giving from their everyday shopping. By shopping through their site, shoppers can support Kaleidoscope Plus Group as the site then makes a donation to your chosen charity.

On the request for support during the festive period Monica Shafaq, CEO of The Kaleidoscope Plus Group said: “Given the current cost of living crisis and the pressure on household budgets we are asking for the support of the public when doing their Christmas or Black Friday shopping.

“Black Friday and the festive period are without a doubt the biggest shopping events of the year and through contributions from the retailers through AmazonSmile and Give as you Live, we can still receive valuable donations that enable us to continue providing vital services to those struggling with their emotional health and wellbeing. If you are already supporting The Kaleidoscope Plus Group through AmazonSmile or Give as you Live then we would like to thank you for your continued support.”

The money raised will enable the Kaleidoscope Plus Group to provide life-changing services, promoting positive health and wellbeing, challenging the stigma around mental health, and creating inclusive communities. November also welcomes back Giving Tuesday. Created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good.

Over the last decade, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires millions of people to give and celebrate generosity. You can volunteer your time; donate money; share your skills; organise a community event to support Kaleidoscope Plus Group.
