With Father’s Day fast approaching, West Midlands-based funeral director, Jennifer Ashe & Son, has launched its first colouring competition, giving children the chance to win a Father’s Day dinner for their father figure.

The family run funeral director has partnered with Rocklands School in Lichfield to run the competition and has invited children across the West Midlands to take part and be in with the chance to win a £50 voucher for a family roast dinner at Toby Carvery. The colouring page, created by the Jennifer Ashe & Son team, can be picked up at any of their five branches across the West Midlands, in Willenhall, Brownhills, Hednesford, Lichfield or Walsall or downloaded from their website. It features a superhero cape template for children to colour-in and design the perfect cape for their super dad or father figure.

All entries must be handed in to a Jennifer Ashe & Son funeral home before 7th June after which members from the funeral directors Dove bereavement group will review all designs and announce the two lucky winners on the 12th. June. Jimmy Smith, Funeral Director at Jennifer Ashe & Son, said: “Dads and father figures really do deserve to be treated like superheroes this Father’s Day.

“We’re helping to celebrate dads across the West Midlands by getting the creativity flowing with a little competitive fun - I’m excited to see all the fantastic cape designs over the next few weeks!” The colouring competition follows several successful community initiatives organised by the funeral director, including its March Easter Egg appeal which saw hundreds of Easter Eggs donated by the local community to children at Walsall Manor Hospital.

Currently the Jennifer Ashe team are supporting the local branch of food bank charity The Trussel Trust with an ongoing food collection, donations can be dropped off at their Willenhall site.
