The life of an Indian freedom fighter is to be celebrated with a week of events in Wolverhampton.

Veterans will lead the commemorations as Wolverhampton marks the 70th anniversary of VE Day on Friday 8 May, 2015.

West Park will come alive to the sights and sounds of the annual Vaisakhi Festival. The Council of Sikh Gurdwaras in Wolverhampton together with the Asian community is holding its annual cultural festival in the park on Sunday 3 May, 2015, between 10am and 5pm.

Northycote Farm is inviting people to celebrate May Day with a fun event for all the family featuring a host of attractions.
