A Carnival activity meant to have fun together was the result when a switch started the countdown for travel, tourism, and the ball to drop. In flipping the switch, the New Year’s Eve Ball at Times Square in Manhattan started the countdown for a travel, tourism, and a new year of cruising the world in 2023.

Outgoing SKAL World President, Burcin Turkkan, delivered this powerful New Year message to her members.

2022 was a rollercoaster year for the travel and tourism industry. A year that started with a glimmer of hope and ended for many with record business coming back.

The first of a series of direct flights from Kazakhstan landed at Seychelles International Airport December 27, 2022, with 137 passengers.

On December 27, 2022, the second General Assembly of International Mountain Tourism Alliance (IMTA) was held successfully.

EL AL Israel Airlines have announced that it signed an agreement with the Boeing Company to purchase a Boeing 787-9 aircraft, which will be the 17th Boeing 787 Dreamliner in its fleet. The aircraft, equipped with two Rolls Royce’s engines, was originally manufactured for another customer, and will be modified to EL AL’s specifications. The expected delivery date is second quarter 2024.
