National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC) President Samuel Rodriguez released the following statement on the ending Title 42: “The end of title 42 speaks to the removal of the final deterrent to abject chaos on our southern border. The current administration’s immigration policy triggers one collective vociferous question, ‘How many more?’

“How many more little boys and girls will be sexually molested and experience sex trafficking as a result of President Biden’s immigration policy? How many more cartels will be funded and emboldened? How many more innocent Americans will die as a result of the fentanyl invasion that coincides with the malaise on our southern border? How many more?

“The collective American psyche, especially in the eyes of our young, cannot look away and ignore the fact that the rule of law in America continues to die. If the administration permits the breaking of laws on our southern border, how in the world can the same administration demand adherence to law in our inner cities?
“Simply stated, our young people continue to see the federal government permit lawless entry into our country. Therefore, it emboldens them to seek the possibility of ignoring our laws as it pertains to everyday life. Once again, how many more?”

Samuel Rodriguez is the president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC), the world’s largest Hispanic Christian organisation with U.S. churches and many additional churches spread throughout the Spanish-speaking diaspora. With his stands recognized by CNN, FOX News, Univision and Telemundo as America’s most influential Latino/Hispanic faith leader, Charisma magazine named him one of the 40 leaders who changed the world. The Wall St. Journal named him one of the top 12 Latino leaders and he was the only faith leader on that list.

He has been named among the “Top 100 Christian Leaders in America” (Newsmax 2018) and nominated as one of the “100 most influential people in the world” (TIME 2013). Rodriguez is regularly featured in CNN, Fox News, Univision, PBS, Christianity Today, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and many others, and was the first Latino to deliver the keynote address at the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Service at Ebenezer Baptist Church and is the recipient of the Martin Luther King Jr. Leadership Award presented by the Congress of Racial Equality.

Having advised Presidents Bush, Obama and Trump, and frequently consults with Congress advancing immigration and criminal justice reform as well as religious freedom and Pro-Life initiatives, by the grace of God, Rev. Rodriguez is one of the few individuals to have participated in the inauguration ceremonies of two different Presidents representing both political parties.
