SKAL International Cuzco, Peru took an important responsibility in developing youth and talent. SKAL knows the future of the travel and tourism industry is in the hand of young people.

The youth will also be the future leaders of SKAL International. Recently the Cuzco club of SKAL signed an agreement with Vida y Vocación Perú, an NGO providing scholarships in that institution for young people.

SKAL International Cuzco has been seeking young people from extreme poverty and from orphanages to receive training from the best hospitality professionals, executives, and managers in this Andes mountain country. This will open the doors for future opportunities, prosperity and a better professional and personal life.

SKALs partner, Romy Diaz Leon, General Manager of Aranwa Cusco Boutique Hotel was one of the first to take action under this agreement. She personally took young people through each area of the hotel, introduced them to each leader, and allowed them to receive professional training from each area head.

This will help participants to be better prepared to face their working life. All young people come from complex spaces and places where they do not have many opportunities for their development.

By accessing the scholarships that Life and Vocation give them, their lives changed. According to many inspiring development stories by leaders like Romy and his magnificent team will allow youth to be placed in formal and solid companies and good positions.

It inspires the young people privileged enough to be part of this initiative. At the end of this visit, all young people were attended by the members of the board of directors of SKAL International Cusco and the staff of Aranwa Cusco Boutique Hotel.

SKAL especially thanks them for this selfless gesture. The initiative by SKAL Cuzsco will hopefully inspire other SKAL clubs around the globe and start a movement SKAL is so ideally positioned to deliver.
