Spirit Airlines is celebrating its 20th anniversary in the Dominican Republic with limited-time fares starting at $129 one way.
The airline first began flights to Santo Domingo in 2004 and now serves three Dominican destinations: Santo Domingo, Punta Cana, and Santiago. The anniversary sale offers discounted flights from the Dominican Republic to the U.S., including popular routes such as Punta Cana to Fort Lauderdale and Santo Domingo to Fort Lauderdale.
In addition to special fares, Spirit is rewarding its Free Spirit members with bonus points. Members can earn 1,500 points for roundtrip flights and 750 points for one-way flights to and from Dominican cities.
Those booking premium travel options like Go Big and Go Comfy will earn double the points for a limited time. To further celebrate, the Spirit Charitable Foundation donated $10,000 to Project HOPE, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving maternal and child health in the Dominican Republic.
The foundation’s support reflects Spirit's ongoing commitment to the community. Spirit also offers vacation packages through Spirit Vacations, which bundles flights, car rentals, and hotel stays, providing savings of up to 30% on trips to the Dominican Republic.
This makes it easier for travellers to enjoy an affordable vacation in the Caribbean. The airline’s anniversary follows a recent upgrade to its guest experience, including no change or cancel fees on all travel options, increased checked bag allowances, and new travel options for different preferences.
Passengers can choose from Go Big for premium comfort, Go Comfy for extra space, or Go Savvy for the most affordable option. Special fares are available for booking from November 7 to 14, 2024, for travel between November 14, 2024, and February 14, 2025, with blackout dates from December 19, 2024, to January 7, 2025.
