Traders are being urged to get in touch and take up market stalls still available at three great Sandwell  summer events. Sandwell Valley Country Park is hosting two fantastic family fun weekends this month plus a big Bank Holiday Monday market. Traders, whether they are food concessions, vintage clothes and crafts or anything else, are being urged to get in touch if they want to take part in any of the events.

The fun kicks off with the Sandwell Strongman competition on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 August, which runs from 10am until 5pm both days. The Sandwell Strongman competition will see the area’s muscle men take on a series of daunting challenges to be crowned the strongest of them all. There will also be live music, a real ale bar, children’s entertainment and stalls.

The following weekend, Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 August, is an agricultural and horticultural weekend, running from 10am until 5pm both days. Visitors will be treated to farming demonstrations, animal racing, farm machinery exhibits, live music, real ale bar, children's entertainment, countryside crafts and falconry displays. There’s also another market on both days.

On Bank Holiday Monday (29 August) it’s the Giant Bank Holiday Monday Market – 10am until 4pm with a  rambling mixed market selling fine food, arts, crafts, vintage, shabby chic, continental and lots more on plenty of unusual stalls. If traders are interested in booking a stall at any of the events please contact LSD  Promotions on 01384 877336 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. Admission to the events is free but there will be a small charge for some of the activities – such as boats and donkey rides and face painting. Parking is £2 per vehicle.

Sandwell Council’s cabinet member for leisure Councillor Richard Marshall said: “We are looking for lots of variety and there are still stalls available for traders so please do get in touch.”
