Aston University has received a £120,000 commitment to help tackle the digital divide with a new scholarship scheme.

The donation is part of The Access Foundation’s new grant-making programme, which has recently awarded £269,000 to organisations across the UK. According to the Social Mobility Commission’s State of the Nation Report 2021, when the pandemic hit in March 2020 the poorest households were found to be excluded from the digital world.

Severn Trent has launched Wavemakers, a brand-new annual ideas challenge that’s seeking to nurture talents and create innovation in the community.
