This year's line-up includes Broadway Night, the Chi Nan University Ballad Festival and the spectacular Sun Moon Lake Fireworks § Fu Xin String Orchestra amongst a wide spectrum of other events.

In addition to its musical festivities, Sun Moon Lake is a popular tourist attraction located in Nantou County. Sun Moon Lake (Rìyuè Tán) is the largest body of freshwater in Taiwan and has one of the island's most breath-taking natural landscapes. At an altitude of 762m, the lake is backed by high-forested mountains and boasts year-round good weather. Boating is popular, both touring in large craft and in DIY rowing boats, as is hiking and biking.

The Come! Bikeday Carnival is another exciting event series held as part of the Sun Moon Lake celebrations, allowing visitors to participate in an array of cycling events from the tannan challenge, the bikeday carnival, classical or fun rides. The 19-mile perimeter around the picturesque Sun Moon Lake has many trails for hiking and cycling, waiting to be explored by adventure enthusiasts. To make the decision to get sporty even easier, visitors can take advantage of free rental of a 21 speed bike, a free souvenir and a free bottle of water between 23 October and 15 November.
