The Peninsula Hotels is expanding its family programme this summer with the announcement of an exclusive partnership with the premium Norwegian baby brand, Stokke, providing a range of furniture and baby gear for families staying in suites at its 10 hotels worldwide. Additionally, enhanced Peninsula Academy programmes for families offer unique ways to explore each destination and keep the whole family engaged on holiday.

Travelling with babies and toddlers can be a daunting task for families, and the Stokke V.I.B. (Very Important Baby) Experience anticipates those needs with a selection of bespoke amenities that eliminate the stress of packing. The experience includes a Stokke Sleepi Crib and Changer Stokke Care, a Tripp Trapp highchair and a Stokke Steps Bouncer. For young babies, a Stokke Flexi Bath and newborn support kit makes bath time more fun. Upon arrival from the airport, families need not worry about bringing a car seat or stroller if they book the V.I.B Airport Experience, which includes a car transfer outfitted with the Stokke Xplory stroller and Stokke iZiGo (for Asian hotels) / PIPA™ by Nuna® (for US hotels) car seat.  All Stokke products are offered to suite guests, which are bookable upon request and subject to availability.

Carefully curated Peninsula Academy family activities engage and entertain all family guests, both young and old, and provide fun-filled insights into the local culture and lifestyle in each city. The new programmes across all hotels are designed for families with children of all ages to experience separately or together. Family guests can share a thrilling helicopter sightseeing trip over the Chicago skyline or shoot a mini movie “Hollywood-style” in Beverly Hills. A walk through Beijing's past and local life takes guests on a rickshaw ride through the hutong lanes of Beijing, and a graffiti art tour in Manila explains the cultural inspirations behind the city's colourful street scenes.

Engaging the minds of young children is a concern for parents on holiday. In addition to the existing activities, themed Scavenger Hunts at each Peninsula hotel enable the whole family to participate in a fun journey of discovery about the location, while staying inside the hotel. Interactive trails wind through each hotel, from the rooftop to the Lobby, with visits to the Chinese restaurant, The Peninsula Arcade and even the vehicle garage to snap a family photo with a vintage Rolls-Royce. En route, adults and kids must complete special missions such as a Chopstick Challenge at Spring Moon restaurant in Hong Kong and a Calligraphy Challenge at Huang Ting in Beijing. Solving clues related to local culture and history and the art pieces and unique design elements in each hotel guides families to the next stage.

After successfully completing the Scavenger Hunt, children are rewarded with a personal memento such as a handcrafted work of chocolate, some Chinese art or a chocolate Peninsula bear to take home, along with an unforgettable family memory.
