As the newest member of The Platinum Group Service Sector at the Black Country Chamber of Commerce, Emirates Airlines were keen to share their brand’s reputation for exceptional service and hospitality with the other Group members by providing them with a truly unique chance to view their A380 on a ‘behind the scenes’ tour.
The morning was designed to afford an insight into the Emirates flight operation at Birmingham Airport and to allow them to experience the excellent benefits of flying with Emirates, including the chance to board the A380 with its legendary business class experience.
The morning culminated in a lunch and drinks reception in the Emirates Lounge.
Marc Fleetham, Director of Business Solutions at the University of Wolverhampton, was delighted to have the opportunity to see what Emirates are able to offer. “It was fascinating to see behind the scenes and meet with some of Emirate’s very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Being able to gain access to the different areas was a real eye opener and it was an extra special treat to be shown around an A380 and to meet the Captain. As a university both our staff and overseas students travel extensively overseas and I am looking forward to working with Emirates to look at a more co-ordinated corporate approach to our travel requirements.”
Passengers flying from the Midlands with Emirates can travel to Dubai and beyond, to an ever expanding global network. Popular destinations on the Emirates network from Birmingham include Dubai, Islamabad, Mumbai, Bangkok, Sydney and Auckland.
As with all Emirates flights, passengers enjoy the generous Emirates baggage allowance of 30kg in Economy Class and 40kg in Business Class. Business Class passengers can also enjoy Emirates’ complimentary chauffeur drive service and the world class Emirates lounge at Birmingham Airport. The lounge is also available for Skywards Gold and Platinum members.
