The Camping and Caravanning Club will welcome thousands of people across its UK Club Sites over the bank holiday weekend, as people celebrate the Platinum Jubilee and National Camping and Caravanning Week (NCCW).

NCCW is the Club’s annual campaign for camping in all its forms and has been running since 2001.

This year, the Club is holding events fit for a king or queen at many of its sites giving campers the chance to get involved with the nationwide celebrations.

Tea party events and jubilee celebrations are taking place at Club Sites including Sandringham in Norfolk, located within the grounds of the Royal Estate, Umberleigh in Devon near both Dartmoor and the north Devon coast and at Cambridge Club Site, where campers can join a barbecue street party. At Bala Club Site in north Wales the Club Site team are hosting a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party and putting on a complimentary cream tea for guests.

Campers holidaying at Sandringham Club Site on Monday 30th May will enjoy the full Club-experience with live music, arts and crafts and an appearance from Ali Ray, the Club’s Eat Local Ambassador, who will be judging a competition for the best afternoon tea.

Michelle Jewell, the Club’s Partnerships and Events Marketing Manager, said: “There’s still time to join in with our on-site jubilee celebrations.

“Take a look at our website to find out what’s taking place at a campsite near you and to enter our fantastic competitions. We have exclusive National Camping and Caravanning Week competitions with prizes totalling over £1,400 up for grabs plus there’s a chance to win a Swift Basecamp 6 and Vango RVA - 2 awning worth £27,000.”
