Haringey residents turned out in their numbers as they helped to celebrate South Africa’s Youth Day at our coproduced event in O.R. Tambo Rec on Sunday (19 June 2022).
There were plenty of free activities on offer throughout the afternoon, with children and their families making the most of the summer weather to participate in the basketball, football and/or tennis sessions.
The youngest attendees also sat patiently for their face paintings or bounded over to the bouncy castle to play with their friends and parents.
The entertainment didn’t end there either, with the highly popular and soulful bands and music proving another undoubted highlight to a fantastic and lovely afternoon. A sincere thank you went out to the High Commissioner of South Africa to the UK, Nomatemba ‘Thembi’ Tambo, and Robby at Pavilion Sports & Café for all their help and hard work in coproducing this successful afternoon.
