Birmingham’s biggest private hire operator, A2B Radio Cars is supporting Cash for Kids’ Mission Christmas campaign.

A team of nine volunteers from A2B Radio Cars joined the team at Mission Christmas HQ in Birmingham Wholesale Market on 30 November, helping to organise donated toys, and pick and pack orders from councils, local community groups and children's charities. The team also made a donation of £1000 to the charity.

Mission Christmas is a campaign organised by national charity Cash for Kids, whose mission is to improve the lives of local disadvantaged children and young people who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect, or have additional needs. They work with grass-roots organisations that aim to make a difference to young lives by directly supporting families.

Collectively Cash for Kids raised £20.4 million across the UK in 2022, supporting 489,409 children. To support families at Christmas, they organise gift drop-off points, and welcome donations of cash or gifts online, while offering their Festive Fundraising packs.

A2B Radio Cars, a regional hub of the UK’s leading private hire operator Veezu, is supporting the cause for the second time after donating £1000 to the Midlands Mission Christmas branch last Christmas. Graham Hoof, Regional Operations Director for A2B Radio Cars, said: “It is an honour to be able to lend our time and support to Mission Christmas this festive season.

“Their work makes a difference to the lives of thousands of children living in poverty across the UK, so we wanted to get involved to ensure that as many children as possible can enjoy the Christmas season.” Louise Hampton, Charity Manager at Cash for Kids, said: “We’re so grateful for the continued amazing support of the team at Veezu, and we were delighted to welcome them into our Mission Christmas HQ this year.

“We simply wouldn’t be able to do the work we do without the support of such wonderful local businesses. Thanks to their kindness and generosity we can reach more children who desperately need our support and make Christmas the magical time that it should be for them.”
