Visitors can following the footsteps of their favourite movie stars as they take the free Lights, Camera, Action!' trail.

The Icehotel has released sketches of some of the bizarre designs that will feature in the 2016 version of the famous frozen structure in Swedish Lapland. A House of Cards and a White Cathedral provide the setting for two of the intriguing suites. Others will include “Lapland Waves”, in which the bed appears to float on an ocean of waves of ice, and a room designed as a whirl of passionate thoughts.

Go on a geological voyage of discovery at Wolverhampton Art Gallery when it hosts a talk about the Black Country’s most amazing natural attractions. Geology expert Graham Worton, curator and keeper of geology at Dudley Museum, will be at the Lichfield Street gallery on Tuesday, September 6, between 1.30pm and 2.30pm, to reveal the region’s impressive geological pedigree.

City of Wolverhampton Council is giving people the chance to have their say on proposed changes to opening times at four of its most important cultural venues. A survey, which will close on Friday, October 14, relates to Wolverhampton Art Gallery, Bantock House Museum (the popular café and park will be unaffected), Bilston Craft Gallery and Wolverhampton City Archives.

Warwick Arts Centre’s entire autumn programme launches Thursday 25 August, with big names including comedian Catherine Tate, singer/songwriter Billy Bragg and actors Imogen Stubbs and Natalie Casey leading the way. The Coventry venue, famed for its theatre, has one of its strongest ever programmes this Autumn. Frantic Assembly & The State Theatre Company of South Australia’s Things I Know to be True, co-produced by Warwick Arts Centre, tells the story of a family and marriage through the eyes of four grown siblings struggling to define themselves beyond their parents’ love and expectations.

Millennium Point will be a hive of creative talent this September as Punch Records marks the end of its creative residency programme, Gallery 37, with a free Showcase event. On Saturday 10^th September the main atrium at Millennium Point will be filled with live music, poetry and spoken word performances, dance, film and more as the participants of Gallery 37 showcase the work they have created during the 8-day residency.

Amazing historic buildings in Sandwell will be sharing some of their secrets and stories when they open their doors to the public as part of national Heritage Open Days. From September 8 to 11 lots of events and activities are lined up showcase the borough’s fascinating past including the childhood home of one of the most famous historical characters in American history. Visitors can learn what West Bromwich was like in the 1650s, enjoy live music, talks, walks, open days, food tasting, canal heritage and much more.

The Spiegel Tent – a beautiful and unique historical travelling dance hall, which made its first appearance in Nottingham in 2015 - will once again be taking up residence in the city's Old Market Square as part of this year's October Festival, which makes Nottingham the biggest festival city in the UK that month. Between 1 – 8 October, the hugely popular attraction will offer eight days of family panto, theatre, music, dance, comedy, burlesque and more – with Russell Howard headlining at the Just the Tonic Comedy Night on Sunday 2 October.

Bantock House is turning the clock back for a weekend giving visitors the chance to experience life in the 1940s. The beautifully restored Edwardian house and gardens is holding its annual World War II Weekend on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 September. Enthusiasts from Nostalgia Unlimited will be dressed as all sorts of characters from the 1940s including a classic spiv, a doctor, soldiers and women in fabulous wartime fashions.
