Warwick Arts Centre has been shortlisted for a hat-trick of awards in this year’s Coventry and Warwickshire Tourism Awards.  The Coventry venue is a finalist in the Best Venue Music, Arts & Theatre;  The Kids & Familes Award and The Culture Award categories.  The event is being organised by the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce and Quidem, which owns Touch FM stations and Rugby FM, and will be hosted at the Ricoh Arena on Thursday, September 24.

Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership, Coventry City Council and Warwickshire County Council are also supporting the awards, which will showcase the diverse attractions, venues and experiences on offer in the region.

Up to five nominees have been shortlisted for each of the 13 awards on offer, which promote the area’s best restaurants, hotels, attractions and experiences and the people behind them. Alan Rivett, Director of Warwick Arts Centre, said: “It’s fantastic to be nominated for these awards alongside so many brilliant companies and organisations across Coventry and Warwickshire, which well represent the diversity of the cultural offer across the region. It’s testament to the friendly welcome and great experiences we’ve given to millions of visitors over the last forty years.”

Angela Tellyn, partnership manager at the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce and a member of the judging panel responsible for deciding the final winners on the night, said: “The calibre for entries has been excellent and shortlisting the nominees was a tough decision but the judging team has chosen those which we believe best reflect the area and its rich culture, history and heritage.”
